We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and hands-on Vice President of Finance & Accounting to support the CFO in leading our organization’s financial operations. This role is critical in driving financial performance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across our expanding network.

The Vice President, Finance & Accounting will oversee key financial functions including operational finance, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and special initiatives. This leader will partner closely with department heads, support major strategic decisions, and lead financial projects that strengthen organizational performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, forward-thinking, and highly experienced in healthcare finance or physician practice management.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Analysis

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including revenue cycle, cash flow planning, and budgeting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial planning reports and performance metrics.
• Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
• Support development of predictive financial models and long-range forecasts.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual and multi-year budgeting processes.
• Collaborate with departmental leaders to monitor budgets, manage costs, and evaluate financial impacts.
• Recommend budget adjustments and strategic initiatives based on financial insights.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, GAAP standards, and internal controls.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and required stakeholder reporting.
• Coordinate documentation and responses for external audits.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.
• Strengthen financial processes and promote financial literacy across departments.
• Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Support

• Serve as a key advisor to the CFO on financial strategy and business operations.
• Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships and conduct financial due diligence.
• Support special projects, including implementation of new systems, tools, or process enhancements.

Targeted candidates should bring 10+ years of financial management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and CPA and/or Master’s degree are strongly preferred.
