We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic HR team.
- This role serves as the first point of contact for routine employee relations matters across clinic locations, requiring intermittent on-site presence and travel within the region.
- We’re looking for someone who can be a trusted resource to managers and employees, while maintaining an approachable and supportive presence.
- The position requires someone who can think critically and handle sensitive situations with tact, consistency, and professionalism.
- We need a positive, solutions-oriented individual who can balance day-to-day employee relations work with building strong, collaborative relationships across the organization.
Selected Responsibilities:
Employee Relations
- Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee relations inquiries from managers and employees.
- Conduct intake and preliminary assessment of concerns, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Business Partner (HRBP).
- Manage standard ER cases, including workplace conflicts, policy clarifications, and basic performance issues.
- Support managers with progressive discipline processes, documentation, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct fact-finding and prepare case documentation prior to escalation.
- Maintain accurate tracking and records of all employee relations cases.
- Provide administrative support for investigations led by the HRBP.
- Process workers’ compensation claims.
- Support rollout and implementation of HR policies and procedures at the clinic level.
- Monitor ER trends and flag patterns or concerns to the HRBP.
Training & Development
- Deliver orientation, training, and presentations as needed.
- Partner with functional and operational groups to facilitate new hire orientation on a rotating basis, ensuring consistent delivery of Avance Care’s values, policies, and expectations.
- Develop and deliver employee relations training to leadership on best practices in communication, professionalism, and compliance.
- Regularly update and maintain HR content on the company intranet.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
