As the Director of Clinical Strategy & Operations will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to implement and oversee strategic initiatives that enhance clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and value-based care initiatives. This role will be instrumental in aligning medical department priorities with corporate strategy while fostering collaboration between providers and clinical teams, business leaders, and external stakeholders.
Selected Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CMO to develop and execute strategic plans that drive clinical quality, efficiency, and performance across the organization.
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical programs designed to improve patient outcomes and provider engagement.
- Oversee and support operational initiatives related to Value-Based Care and Population Health, Chronic Care Management, Nutrition, Clinical Quality, and Medical Informatics.
- Collaborate with the CMO in analyzing clinical performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical leadership, executive management, and frontline providers to ensure alignment of strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership in the development and optimization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to enhance clinical workflows and provider efficiency.
- Work closely with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal healthcare policies.
- Support medical partnerships by engaging with healthcare organizations, payers, and community stakeholders to enhance clinical integration and collaboration.
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives and ensure that clinical teams are equipped with the necessary resources to achieve high standards of care.
- Represent the medical department in leadership meetings, contributing to decision-making and strategy development.
- Develop and implement initiatives that improve provider engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Participate in committee work and strategic planning sessions as assigned.
- Ensure that all clinical policies and procedures align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of new technologies and data-driven decision-making processes to improve patient care.
- Accomplish all tasks as assigned or as they become necessary to support organizational success.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in clinical leadership, healthcare strategy, or healthcare operations.
- Experience working in a value-based care model, including knowledge of reimbursement structures and performance metrics, familiarity with Medicaid Transformation, value-based contracting, and Clinically Integrated Networks.
- A strong understanding of healthcare policy and regulatory compliance at the state and federal levels.
