We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Benefits Manager to lead and oversee our payroll and benefits function across multiple locations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant administration of payroll and benefits programs while managing a team of specialists.

 

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in multi-state payroll processing, HRIS systems, and benefits administration.  Experience with healthcare industry, UKG payroll processing, and ICHRA plans highly preferred.

 

Selected Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of payroll and benefits specialists.
  • Establish standard operating procedures and serve as the primary escalation point for payroll and benefits issues.
  • Partner with HR leadership on strategic initiatives and process improvements.
  • Oversee multi-state payroll processing for both medical practice and corporate employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions, tax compliance, and reporting.
  • Manage system configurations and updates within UKG.
  • Lead year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and audits.
  • Oversee administration of ICHRA, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Direct annual benefits enrollment and manage qualifying life events.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.
  • Monitor benefits utilization and costs to optimize program offerings. 

 

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 5+ years of payroll and benefits experience, including at least 3 years in a management role. 

 

Other Priorities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team leadership and project management abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll tax and benefits compliance regulations.
