As a Payment Posting Specialist, you’ll add support by accepting payments, handling all adjustments, denials, and rejections in a timely manner.

• This is a full-time hybrid role involving 8 hours weekday shifts with no weekends schedule.
• We operate in a busy, fast-paced environment, and we seek a candidate who thrives under such conditions.

Selected Responsibilities:

• Posting payments, adjustments, denials and rejections for manual insurance checks, patient checks and electronic remittance to the correct facility/patient/line item.
• Read and interpret proper payment (underpayment/overpayment) amounts based on applicable insurance fee schedules.
• Resolve all lockbox posting discrepancies to ensure the correct balance on each payment and claim.
• Resolves all Unposted Payments within eCW.
• Review, reconcile patient credit balances in lockbox daily.
• Reconciliation of Allergy Report monthly
• Obtains information for initial set-up of Payment Plans. Ensures information is provided to the appropriate entities.
• Balance daily ERA batches and reports; prepare and distribute reports and statistics.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma along with 2-5 years of related experienice.

Other Priorities:

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Basic/healthcare claim accounting practices
• Familiarity with healthcare electronic transactions
• Strong attention to detail
